IMPORTANT - 3M Peltor Headsets with repair ability issues or where problems can be encountered due to the limited supply of spare parts for older and discontinued models.....
3M Peltor's latest policy going forward is - any model which is declared obsolete will only have spare parts available for 5 years from the date it became obsolete. In reality however, if a particular headset is popular the supply of spare parts can run out well before the 5 year period is complete. This means we are already seeing some major issues with the supply of spare parts for older and discontinued models.
3M Peltor Comtac Headsets.
The range of Comtac military headsets are subject to a number of important considerations in respect to their ability to be repaired.
Models beginning MT15*** Comtac II and MT17*** Comtac III have issue with the supply of replacement cups and currently we can only obtain them in black. There is also now supply issues with replacement pcb boards.
Comtac XPi, Comtac V, Comtac VI, Comtac VII & Comtac NIBS.......see below.
Any model beginning MT20*** or newer has a conformal coated applied to the pcb during it's manufacture which means that the pcb cannot be replaced, so any fault relating to the pcb makes these headsets unrepairable. 3M Peltor has an extremely limited number of spare parts for these headsets making repairing them all but impossible. The only replaceable parts are the comms mic, comms mic socket, ambient mic covers and hygiene kits. Best contact us in advance to discuss your options?
3M Peltor Aviation Headset.
These are long since discontinued/obsolete.
We are able to fit new mics currently depending on the specific model but supplies are very limited.
The models concerned are 7002/7003/7004/8003 & 8103.

There are no longer any parts for these models, so we are unable to repair them.
3M Tactical Sport 300 & Tactical Sport 500
US only products with no aftersales support or spare parts. Not repairable.

We aim to make the whole repair process as simple and straightforward as possible.

- Firstly, we will confirm if we can complete the repair or if spare parts availability make it unrepairable.?
- Post your equipment to us - we can offer shipping advice if required.
- Assuming we can repair it, we will confirm the repair cost via email with an itemised quotation for approval before proceeding with any work
- Your equipment will be repaired and refurbished by 3M engineers using genuine Peltor parts wherever possible
- If we use any non 3M parts we will advise you of this as the repair progresses.
- The headsets will be sent back to you via tracked and insured post
