Hi Charles,
Really sorry to hear you are having issues with your 3M Peltor headset. I am an independent company based in the UK and tend to repair European products only. Some US versions vary and 3M won't supply me with spare parts unfortunately, so it is possible I couldn't effect a repair anyway. The best advice I can offer you is to contact 3M directly in the USA.Kind regards Tim.

I have a Peltor Comtac III and I've just tried one of my friend's Peltor Comtac III one day and his one has a much better sound quality and also louder. I know that I can do some option with different kind of key buttons and combination (Extra boost, EQ, Balance), but if I do the same options it is still much better than mine. It's the same Peltor like mine. If I have to compare the peformance and my friend's one is the 100% mine is around 80%. Do you have any idea what can be the problem?

Thank you for your help in advance!

My 3M Peltor ComTac have been working fine for a while. But just recently the right ear muff isn’t picking up any sound. The left ear works just fine. Both Left and Right muff pick up radio transmissions but it’s just the right muff that doesn’t pick up any noise. Please help...

Hi Starsun,
Thank you for your enquiry. Do you have the headset serial number please - on the sticker on the cup? Yes, we can repair Comtac III - assuming it is a genuine Peltor product. We are based in the UK, so allow shipping. If you want us to take a look at it for you, email me on [email protected] and we can set up the shipping and explain how the repair system works.? Kind regards

Tim.

I'm having the same issue as BENJAMIN and others above, the sound quality of these PELTOR COMTAC M3's are horrendous, the type is: 81232-0181825 and the SN is: 20195810-31611

To summarize the issue, sound isn't of good enough quality for the job and the right earmuff has trouble picking up sound. It does to an extent but very faint, the majority of the sound is coming from the left cup. Any help/advice would be much appreciated

Hi David,

We are an independent repair facility based in England. If you headset is under 4 years old, I advise you contact 3M directly on 1-800-328-1667. I'm not familiar with that product code as it is a US code not a European one. Do you have any more details on the exact model please - maybe send me a photo.?
kind regards
Tim

Hello,

I have a pair of Comtac III dual leads that I bought from a friend a few years ago. I believe model MT17H682FB.

They have worked fine but recently the right speaker has started to make an intermittent clicking noise when on - sometimes the right speaker also has periods of static for a few minutes.

Are you able to do repairs on this headset? Thank you

Hi.

I have an old pair of Peltor Comtac XPI's. Had em a while. But suddenly the right side has started having an electronic whistling. Is this a repairable fault?

Thanks.
